Bio
Kate is the owner and managing director of Baldwin Financial. She received her B.A. in Economics, with minors in Psychology and French from DePauw University. She began her financial planning career alongside her father and mentor Ben Baldwin after earning her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation and bought and restructured the firm upon his retirement. Because she believes that every client deserves a well-educated, experienced and comprehensive advisor, Kate earned her Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designations as well as having passed her Series 7, 22,6, 63, 65 & SIE securities exams. Kate writes, speaks and has been published (“Financial Planning Workbook”) by the American Bankers Association and other media publications over time. She has offered her advice via national advertisements on network television for a global financial services firm and hosted financial radio programs. Due to her extensive work in estate planning for our clients, Kate was awarded the AEP(Distinguished) Advanced Estate Planning designation from the National Association of Estate Planners in 2019.
Kate lives and works in Arlington Heights and is passionate about building stronger, more sustainable and protected financial lives for the wonderful clients of Baldwin Financial. Away from the office, you can find Kate walking her Airedale, engaging in any outside activity, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loves to sail her boat whenever possible and swims regularly. Kate is a big supporter of her local church, and the Sarcoma community, for whom she regularly advocates and fundraises for research against this devastating diagnosis of which she is a proud survivor.
