We invite you to join us for the October 21 breakfast meeting for an insightful session on one of today’s most complex and increasingly relevant topics: International Tax and Estate Planning Considerations.

As more clients hold assets and family ties across borders, traditional planning techniques often fall short. This session will highlight real-life cases of U.S. citizens and long-term green card holders who have exited the United States and the unique international estate and tax issues they faced.

Topics include:

  • U.S. estate tax exposure for non-resident clients with U.S. assets
  • The role of domestic and foreign trusts in cross-border planning
  • Tax treaty considerations and planning traps to avoid
  • Practical steps to protect globally mobile families from double taxation

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the key U.S. estate tax rules affecting non-residents and expatriates
  • Understand how trust structures interact with cross-border estate planning
  • Gain practical strategies to address international reporting and compliance challenges

Program Schedule

  • 7:15 am – Check-in/Breakfast
  • 7:50 am – Welcome/Introductions
  • 8:00 am – Presentation and Q&A
  • 9:00 am – Announcements and Adjournment
