The presentation will discuss and illustrate estate planning techniques that involve prenuptial and postnuptial financial planning, intra-family and other business transfer techniques, planning for divorce, unmarried cohabitation, and other special circumstances.  

Learning Objectives: 

  • Understanding: Explain the effective use of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements in estate, financial, and marital planning;
  • Analyzing: Identify and evaluate common areas of conflict; and
  • Creating: Recommend language and construct a plan that will mitigate potential risk and provide a plan of advantage for the clients and their heirs.

Target Audience: The target audience has a background in estate planning and may have specialization as certified divorce financial analysts.

Complexity Level: The presentation is intended for participants with an entry-level to intermediate knowledge of family law and dissolution of marriage concepts
